Seated Fitness, Function and Balance Instructor

Courses

Seated Fitness, Function and Balance Instructor

This advanced course builds on the knowledge and skills gained in your Chair-Based Exercise qualification. You will learn new seated exercises, along with supported standing and free-standing chair-based neuromotor exercises that can provide additional functional benefits.

The course explores how movements can be adapted to change their focus and impact on the body. You will learn how to safely progress exercises so they continue to provide benefit as participants adapt and become stronger. Progression is not limited to increasing weight or resistance; exercises can also be made more complex to challenge the neuromotor system, including balance and proprioception.

By the end of the course, you will have expanded your exercise repertoire and gained new ideas to refresh and enhance your chair-based sessions.
