Overview
This Active IQ qualification will provide you with an understanding and awareness of mental health, common mental health disorders and issues, help reduce stigma and discrimination and encourage people to talk about mental health.
The qualification should provide you with the ability to apply their knowledge of mental health through recognising and responding to the signs of mental ill health in themselves and others and be able to offer mental health first aid to people experiencing mental ill health.
This Mental Health Awareness course can be completed online.
On successful completion it leads to an Active IQ Level 2 Award in Mental Health Awareness.

Format
Complete the Mental Health Awareness course online via Active IQ’s eLearning platform. You’ll have 12 months’ access.
Assessment
- To achieve this qualification, you need to complete a worksheet and theoretical case study. These are then sent to us for marking. We may then have some further questions to clarify what you have written or to supplement your answers to ensure the learning outcomes are met fully.
- Once all Learning Outcomes are met in full, we can then claim your certificate.
- You’ll retain access to the course for 12 months, allowing you to revisit the material after completing the course.

Who is this course suitable for?

What is the purpose of this qualification?

How do I get my certificate?
After your Learner Achievement Portfolio has been signed off as a pass and following our quality assurance process, Active IQ will award your ecertificate.
What happens if I don’t pass the assessment?
To achieve this qualification, you need to complete the worksheet and case study which covers each of the qualification units. The completed work is then sent to us for marking. We may then have some further questions to clarify what you have written or to supplement your answers to ensure the learning outcomes are met fully.
